FX Conversion Limit on Flutterwave
Updated 5 days ago
We’re adjusting our FX (Foreign Exchange) conversion limit to a daily limit of $1000. This means that you’re now able to convert and transfer up to $1000 from each of your Flutterwave wallets daily.
What is the new daily FX limit?
The new daily limit for FX conversions is $1000 for each of your Flutterwave wallets. If you receive a payment in a particular currency, a wallet is created for you in that currency. For example, if you receive a payment in Naira, a wallet is created for you in Naira. The funds in your NGN wallet can then be used for transfers or currency conversions to a different currency.
How can I carry out FX conversions?
You can carry out FX conversions via your Flutterwave dashboard or via APIs.
Why was this adjustment made?
We made this adjustment in line with our ongoing efforts to meet regulatory requirements and ensure the continued security and stability of our platform.
Does this change affect other limits or services on my Flutterwave account?
No, other services and limits on your Flutterwave account remain unaffected.
What does the cumulative limit refer to?
The cumulative limit means that the $1000 limit is a total daily limit. For example, if you convert $500 in the morning and another $500 in the afternoon, you have reached your daily limit and cannot convert any more currency until the next day.
Can I raise a request to increase my FX limit?
Yes, you can raise a request for your fx limits to be increased to your desired limit by sending an email to our support email at hi@flutterwavego.com.
Please note that approval of your request is subject to a complete KYC documentation and assessment from our compliance team which might require you to provide additional KYC documents.
