How to successfully verify your business on Flutterwave
Updated 14 months ago
To complete your account verification on Flutterwave, here are some specific details to guide you through the process:
Ensure that your bank or mobile money account name matches your business/trading name.
Don’t attempt to verify an unregistered account with a corporate bank account and vice versa.
Your BVN name must match your valid ID (for Nigerians).
Use the correct identity number during verification.
Ensure that your ID card is not expired.
Provide original copies of your ID and business registration documents, not photocopies or printed copies.
Make sure your ID and business registration documents are not laminated, covered in nylon, peeled, broken, or expired.
If you are registering on behalf of your organization, kindly ensure that the director(s)' details are correct, and prompt them to complete their registration as well.
Take a picture of your ID in a well-lit environment, ensuring the entire image and text are clear and legible.
Don’t use saved pictures of your ID and business registration documents; use your device’s camera to capture a new picture of the original ID or document.
Submit both the front and back of your ID when verifying your identification document.
Place your valid ID on a surface with a distinct color to enhance visibility.
For registered businesses, all business directors must complete a separate verification process. Each director will receive an email to complete their verification.
