Onboarding Requirements for Using Flutterwave in Zambia

You can operate an unregistered business account, a registered business account (Sole proprietorship or Limited Liability Company), or a non-profit organization. The KYC requirements depend on the type of business created. 

Business (Limited Entities)

  • Certification of Incorporation of the company

  • Articles of Association

  • Proof of Business Address-Utility Bill/Tenancy Agreement/Title deed

  • ZRA Tax Registration (TPIN)

  • Director ID / Passport/NRC/Drivers License

  • Bank statement in the name of the company

  • Business (Sole Proprietorship)

  • Certificate of Registration of the company 

  • Tax Clearance Certificate ZRA tax registration of the company Requirement from 1 Jan 2025

  • Director ID/ Passport

  • A bank statement is in the name of the company/individual.

  • Website URL

NGOs

  • Certification of Incorporation of the Company & Constitution

  • ZRA Tax Registration (TPIN)

  • Signed letter on letterhead from NGO Board confirming Registration and existence including officials

  • Trustee IDs / International Passport

  • Bank statement in the name of the company

Accepted IDs (colored copies only)

  • International Passport

When activating your Flutterwave account, ensure you submit accurate information or documents to prevent any delay to the activation of your account.  

Payment Methods

You can accept payments from your customers via Mobile Money. 

Settlement Schedule

Settlements for local transactions are processed within 24 hours while foreign settlements are processed in 5 days. Click here to know how to view your settlement due date. 

Payout Processing Time

Refund Timeline

Refunds for card transactions and mobile money transactions are processed within the following timelines: 

Card Refunds: Processed within 3 - 15 business days

Mobile Money Refunds: Processed within 1 - 7 days
