Teams & Their Permissions

Updated 2 days ago

Flutterwave enables seamless collaboration between employees in your organization. We offer various roles that set your team up for success on Flutterwave. Each role has tailored permissions that ensure optimal support and collaboration. Visit this link to learn how to add team members to your Flutterwave account.

Some of the roles on Flutterwave are:

1. Owner

The account owner has visibility into all the operations on the account, and can add collaborators. The owner has visibility into the account settings and is able to determine the method of authentication (OTP delivery via email and SMS, authenticator app) or make account profile changes. New owners can be added as changes in management occur. Users with an owner role can initiate and approve transfers, set payout rules for the account, change account settings, and much more.

2. Operations

The Operations role is suitable for users or employees who are focused on the day-to-day operations of the organization. They can view transactions received into Flutterwave, they can view transfers, customer lists, and balances.

3. Developer/IT Specialist

The developer/IT specialist role is suitable for developers who integrate Flutterwave APIs or need to make changes at the API level. A user with a developer/IT specialist role can view API keys, enable or disable webhooks, and delete webhooks. They can also view customers and transfers.

4. Customer Support

This role is suitable for support staff who require permission to perform actions like refunds and dispute resolutions. A user with this role can view customers, collections, and transfers. They can also create and add new products to your store, create payment links and invoices, manage chargebacks, etc.

5. Administrator

The administrator role is best suited for business owners, executives, or team members who require full admin access. Administrators can access most of the dashboard features. They can create and edit customers, can initiate and approve transfers, they can process bill payments, can view and fund balances, can create subaccounts, can manage chargebacks and refunds, etc.

6. Custom Role

You can create a custom role and set permissions for that role. For example, you can create a role for your HR team and set permissions that allow them to view customers, create payment links, initiate transfers, and bill payments.
