Onboarding Requirements
You can operate a registered business account (Sole proprietorship or Limited Liability Company) or a non-profit account on Flutterwave. The KYC requirements depend on the type of business created. Below are the types of businesses and their KYC requirements:
Business (Limited Entities)
Certification of Incorporation of the company
Memorandum and Articles of Association showing the directors' and shareholders' information
Valid means of ID of the directors and shareholders holding 25% or more shares
Corporate Settlement Bank Account Number
Business Website URL
Business description /Account Purpose
Operating Address and Proof of address not more than 3 months old: Utility Bill/Tenancy Agreement/Title deed
Tax Certificate showing the Tax Identification Number

Valid means of ID of the proprietor

When activating your Flutterwave account, ensure you submit accurate information or documents to prevent any delay in the activation of your account.
Payment Methods
You can accept payments from your customers via Card or Mobile Money payment methods. You can also make payouts to your bank account or your mobile money wallet from your Flutterwave account.
Settlement Schedule
Local settlements are processed within 1 business day, in line with our settlement schedule. Click here to know how to view your settlement due date.
Payout Processing Time

Refund Timeframe
Refunds for card transactions and mobile money transactions are processed within the following timelines:
Card Refunds: Processed within 3 - 15 business days
Mobile Money Refunds: Processed within 1 - 3 days
