Updated 5 months ago
Looking to accept payments via international cards from customers worldwide? Here's how to activate international card payment acceptance directly from your Flutterwave for Business dashboard:
1. Go to your dashboard and click on 'Settings'.
2. Then, select 'Business Preferences'.
3. Head over to the "Payment Methods" tab.
4. Click "request access" to get access to the international card payment method
5. Once received, you will get an email with a ticket ID you can use to track the status of your request.
6. Our Team will review your request and you will get a decision within 48 hours. Once enabled, you'll be ready to accept card payments seamlessly from customers around the globe.
Just a heads-up: In some cases, requests for international cards might not be approved within 48 hours. Here are some common reasons:
1. Insufficient Documentation: If your account lacks the necessary documentation or verification, your request may be declined. Providing us with the required documents help us resolve the issue. Visit this link to see the documents required to complete onboarding on Flutterwave.
2. High-Risk or Suspicious Activity: Flutterwave monitors all accounts for suspicious or high-risk activities. If we detect such activity, your request for international cards may be declined so we can further review your account.
3. Non-Compliance with Regulations: Following all regulations and compliance standards helps us all international transactions secure. Your failure to comply might result in the rejection of the request. Learn about our policy here to stay compliant.
4. Geographical Restrictions: Some regions or countries may have restrictions or limitations on international card transactions, leading to the decline of the request. Don't worry, we'll let you know once there are changes to your region.
