• What is Spread?

  Spread is an easy way for you to order from your favorite stores, receive your product/service immediately, and split your payment into installments for up to 12 months

• How does payment work with Spread?

  You make an initial downpayment of 25% of your purchase then you can choose to pay back in 30 days or split your payment into 4, 6 or 12 installments.

• Can I pay for my purchase before the due date?

  Yes, you can. To make an early repayment:

  1. Login to your Spread account
  2. You’ll see your Total outstanding payment and Next payment
  3. Click “Make payment” beside Next payment
• How do you determine my spend limit?

  We work with our lending partners to assess your creditworthiness and this determines your spend limit. Some factors that are considered for your creditworthiness include

  • Your credit report
  • Inflows in your bank account
  • Repayment history on your previous loan
  • Consistent monthly income
• Can I increase my spend limit?

  To increase your spend limit, please add the details of the account where you have the highest inflows. This will enable us accurately assess your creditworthiness to see if you're eligible for a higher amount.

  You can also increase your spend limit by ensuring you always repay your Spread loans.

• Where can I check my payment schedule?

  To check your payment schedule:

  1. Login to your Spread dashboard
  2. Click “Purchases” at the top
  3. Click on the purchase you want to check
  4. You’ll see all the details of that purchase including your payment schedule
• Where can I see stores that accept Spread as a payment method?
  You can see the stores that accept Spread as a payment method here
• What is the interest rate for using Spread?

  If you choose to pay back in 30 days or 4 months it is completely interest-free. However, if you choose to pay in 6 or 12 months, your interest rate will be determined by your credit worthiness assessment

• When will I get my purchase after paying with Spread?

  You receive your purchase immediately after paying your first installment.

• Can I use my spending limit to shop from multiple stores?

  No, you cannot. However, we are working on introducing this to you soon.

• How do I get a spend limit on Lipa Later?

  We partner with Lipa Later to provide spend limits for our Kenyan customers.

  To get a spend limit,

  1. Visit https://app.lipalater.com/ke/customer/signup
  2. Fill the signup form to create an account
  3. Login to your Spread dashboard
  4. Click “Check Spend limit” at the top right of your dashboard.
• How to be eligible for Spread as a payment method for my customers?

  To be eligible to use Spread as a payment method for your customers, you must:

  • Be based in Nigeria or Kenya.
  • Have transacted via Flutterwave for a minimum of 3 months.
  • Have received a minimum of 3 payments in a month using Flutterwave’s payment gateway
• How to enable Spread payment method for my customers?

  Here’s how to enable Buy Now Pay Later payment option for your customers

  1. Log in to your Flutterwave dashboard and click “Settings”
  2. Click “Business preferences” then click “Payment method” at the top
  3. Scroll to Spread then click “Enable”
