Connect your Flutterwave account to MailChimp with Zapier

If you have a MailChimp account, here's how to connect your Flutterwave account to the platform.

  1. Log into your Zapier account and click on the “Make a Zap” button.

  2. To be able to add new emails to an existing list on your Mailchimp account, you have to set a trigger for Flutterwave (i.e. for every successful transaction). Type 'Rave' in the search box and click on the Rave icon that appears.

  3. Next, click the drop-down button under Choose Trigger Event and select the event you want which in this case is New Transaction. Click Continue to proceed.

  4. The next page is “Choose Account”. This is where you link your Flutterwave account to the new Zap you're creating. Hover on the drop-down button and click Rave. The image below shows a typical pop-up requesting Flutterwave Public key and Secret key. Note: You can find the Public and Secret keys on your Flutterwave dashboard. Click Settings on the dashboard and click the API tab on the Settings page where you can copy each key

  5. Next, set up an Action event. Choose “MailChimp” in the Choose App dropdown. Next, click on the second dropdown and choose “Add/Update Subscriber”. This option will create an invoice for successful payment transactions made on Flutterwave, in your MailChimp account. Click Continue.

  6. Click the "Choose Account" dropdown and add your MailChimp account. This will send you to log into your MailChimp account and allow Zapier access to your account.

  7. Click Continue and then, Send Test. To check if the test was successful, click Send Data.

  8. Click Continue and then, Send Test. To check if the test was successful, click Send Data.

  9. Finally, toggle on “Zap is ready, now turn on” button. You can check your MailChimp subscriber’s list to see your newly added subscriber(s).
