We’re introducing Pay with Bank Transfer Payments in Kenya. With this solution, your customers in Kenya can make bank transfer payments to you directly from their banking application. To receive payments via this payment method, you need to enable Bank Transfer - Kenya on your Flutterwave dashboard.
How do I enable Pay With Bank Transfer Kenya?
To enable Pay With Bank Transfer (PWBT), follow these steps:
Log in to your dashboard
Navigate to Settings > Click on Business Preferences
Go to the Payment Methods tab > Scroll to the Bank Transfer section
Click on the request access button
You will receive an email with a ticket ID which can be used to track your request.
Our team will review your request and you will get a decision within 48 hours.
If your request is approved, you’ll be able to receive bank transfer payments from your customers in Kenya.

Why was my request declined?
Your request to accept bank transfer payments from your customers in Kenya may be declined. Here are some reasons why your request may be declined:
Incomplete KYC documentation: Your request may be declined if your KYC documents are incomplete or not approved. Ensure that your Flutterwave account is live and active before requesting access to this payment method. Visit this link to see the documents required to complete onboarding on Flutterwave.
Suspicious activity/transaction pattern: Flutterwave regularly reviews all accounts for suspicious activities or transaction patterns. If we detect such activity, your request for the Pay With Bank Transfer Kenya payment method may be declined so we can further review your account.

Steps to complete a Pay with Bank Transfer Kenya payment
To complete a Pay with Bank Transfer Kenya payment, please follow these steps:
Select Bank Transfer from the available payment options on a Flutterwave checkout page.
Enter your bank nam
e and bank account number. The transaction information (account number, account name, amount, reference number) will be displayed to you.
Launch your banking application.
Input the account number.
Input the 10-digits reference number as the narration.
Authorize and Confirm Payment.
Select "I have made the payment" on Flutterwave checkout.
Your transaction will be confirmed, and if successful, you will receive an email within 24 working hours.
Ensure that you transfer the exact amount that is displayed to prevent transaction delays or failures.
How long does it take for the funds to reflect in your wallet?
PWBT KE payments are processed to your Flutterwave collection balance within 24 working hours. Chat with us or send an email if you do not receive your funds in your collection balance within this timeframe.
What is the pricing for bank transfer payments?
We charge 2% of the transaction amount. More information on our pricing can be found here.
What are the limits for Bank Transfer payments?
The following limits apply for Pay With Bank Transfer Kenya payments:
Minimum amount: KES 1.00
Maximum amount: KES 500,000.00
