We’re excited to announce Pay with Bank Transfer Payments in Egypt. With this solution, your customers in Egypt can make bank transfer payments to you directly from their banking application. To receive payments via this payment method, you need to enable Bank Transfer - Egypt on your Flutterwave dashboard. 

How do I enable Pay With Bank Transfer Egypt? 

To enable Pay With Bank Transfer (PWBT), follow these steps:

  • Log in to your dashboard

  • Navigate to Settings > Click on Business Preferences

  • Go to the Payment Methods tab > Scroll to the Bank Transfer section 

  • Click on the request access button

  • You will receive an email with a ticket ID that can be used to track your request.

  • Our team will review your request, and you will get a decision within 48 hours. 

  • If your request is approved, you’ll be able to receive bank transfer payments from your customers in Egypt.

Why was my request declined?

Your request to accept bank transfer payments from your customers in Egypt may be declined due to any of these reasons: 

  • Incomplete KYC documentation: Your request may be declined if your KYC documents are incomplete or not approved. Ensure that your Flutterwave account is live and active before requesting access to this payment method. Visit this link to see the documents required to complete onboarding on Flutterwave.

  • Suspicious activity/transaction pattern: Flutterwave regularly reviews all accounts for suspicious activities or transaction patterns. If we detect such activity, your request for the Pay With Bank Transfer Egypt payment method may be declined, so we can further review your account. 

  • Non-compliance with regulations: Following all regulations and compliance standards helps us keep all transactions safe and secure. Failure to comply with regulations might result in your request being declined. Learn about our policy here to stay compliant.

Steps to complete a Pay with Bank Transfer Egypt payment

To complete a Pay with Bank Transfer Egypt payment, please follow these steps: 

  1. Select Bank Transfer from the available payment options on a Flutterwave checkout page.

  2. Enter your bank name and bank account number. The transaction information (account number, account name, amount, reference number) will be displayed to you.  

  3. Launch your banking application. 

  4. Input the account number.

  5. Input the 10-digits reference number as the narration. 

  6. Authorize and Confirm Payment.

  7. Select "I have made the payment" on Flutterwave checkout. 

  8. Your transaction will be confirmed, and if successful, you will receive an email within 24 working hours.

Please ensure you transfer the exact amount when completing the payment to prevent transaction delays or failures. 

How long does it take for the funds to reflect in your wallet?

PWBT Egypt payments are processed to your Flutterwave collection balance within 24 working hours. Chat with us or send an email if you do not receive your funds in your collection balance within this timeframe.  

What is the pricing for bank transfer payments? 

We charge 2% of the transaction amount. More information on our pricing can be found here

What are the limits for Bank Transfer payments? 

The following limits apply for pay with bank transfer Egypt payments:

Maximum amount: EGP 500,000.00
